1-0. Benfica wins Otelul dull and spends the first group
A goal by Paraguayan Oscar Cardozo in the 7th minute was enough for Benfica to conquer dull Romanian Otelul Galati and certify their place in the first knockout round as Group C in which the Swiss Basel finished second to apear to Manchester United.
The Portuguese signed a lackluster performance, especially in the first part, and just the excitement of Argentine Pablo Aimar was remarkable.
Opposite, the modest Otelul made a worthy role, effectively defended and even arranged for good chances to tie.
